Bentley EXP 100 GT, the luxury electric car that projects us in 2035

Bentley celebrates its centennial with a spectacular electric concept car that propels the brand in 2035. A future that combines with artificial intelligence and sustainable materials.

To celebrate its centenary, Bentley decided to teleport in 2035, imagining what one of its grand touring sedans might look like. The result is a  concept car called EXP 100 GT that does not do in the half measure. A magnificent liner of 5.80 meters long and 2.40 meters wide, with a massive but fluid design in its lines, which gives off a feeling of controlled power. The huge grille flanked by two round headlights is reminiscent of the current Bentley GT but with a much more ambitious lighting system.

Ambitious also are the performances announced by Bentley for this all-electric car that could reach 300 km / h thanks to its four engines and shoot down the 0 to 100 km / h in less than 2.5 seconds. And that’s not all. The British manufacturer announces a torque of 1,500 Nm and a range of 700 kilometers! Charging the battery at 80% will only take 15 minutes. And for those who think they are dealing with a juggernaut, Bentley says the EXP 100 GT weighs “only” 1.9 tonnes.

An eco-chic interior

The two huge doors in scissor open on a course super luxurious interior. Bentley has adapted to the air time by increasing the use of sustainable materials and eco-friendly: 100% natural leather textile, wool carpets from British farms, ”  wood of the old marsh 5,000 years impregnated copper fell naturally on the ground “, exterior paint made from recycled rice balls. From ecology to pompous accents.

Unsurprisingly, the Bentley EXP 100 GT is packed with technology, with an onboard AI that personalizes the atmosphere using seat-integrated biometric systems, eye tracking, and even blood pressure . And of course, the autonomous driving is the part to allow the driver to fully enjoy the joys of this cocoon of luxury.

The Bentley EXP 100 GT is the techno-green manifesto of the British brand.

What is the reality in all that the EXP 100 GT promises? Hard to say. We are talking about a concept car that is there primarily to trace the major trends that will guide the brand in the coming years. 2035 is both a distant date and very close and nothing allows to say whether or not all the technologies mentioned will be operational or even relevant. Bentley wants to dream first and it is rather successful.
